Sometimes I use my art to capture a moment in time or some transitory relationship.
This piece gave me a lot of trouble to paint; I could only work in complete silence.
I find it very difficult to look at it these days, even though I'm pleased how it turned out.
This was the first canvas of mine I ever sketched out in pencil first. I do this quite a lot now. I usually use pastels first, then I block out the shapes in linseed oil.
