I was going to throw this one away but my sister saw it and liked it. Then we had an exhibition and it ended up being the centre piece.
There are bits of me everywhere in this painting; the laughing person, the quiet one, the monster, an embryo, a bird. I took a lot of time over it and then angrily threw a big splash right in the middle. I thought I'd wrecked it.
Is it ever worth trying to put a painting right? Sometimes a mistake can make it better. I'm an untrained artist and maybe my mistakes are my most powerful expressions.
